The secrets of La Roche-Derrien

Viviana | La Roche-Jaudy

Follow Viviana through the Petite Cité de Caractère® to discover this ancient medieval stronghold. From its rocky heights, the knights protected the passage over the maritime river. Despite many battles, the town prospered until the mid-20th century, thanks to its markets, slate quarries and flax mills. The fortified church, Gothic facades, old port and ragpickers’ suburb are just a few of the stops on this tour.

Viviana loves to mix history, heritage and anecdotes, to help you relive the past of this medieval town, its communities of craftsmen and merchants who have left their mark on the memory of the place.
