Discovering Lannion and its heritage

The history of the town of Lannion is told through its architecture and narrow streets. This is a meeting of past and present. Its past is that of a small traditional town that thrived on its port and weekly market right up until the 1960s, marking the dawn of the new technological era. Its present is brought to life through the words of the town’s various residents. They will tell you their stories and describe their work, making for a more engaging and interactive visit.

If only Trégor could tell its story…

Join Ella or Morgane as we explore the history of this ancient port town nestled at the head of the estuary, a place with an unexpected destiny. Let your imagination run wild as you step back in time to the bustling atmosphere of the old maritime quarter, once a hub for international coastal trade, where sand-carrying ships unloaded their cargo on the famous quays of Aiguillon. Stroll along the cobbled streets of its medieval-style alleyways and look up to admire the beautiful half-timbered house facades and stone buildings so emblematic of Trégor. Who knows, you might just unravel the mysteries of Brittany’s tales and legends!
