Stage 1
Ploumanac'h site
The famous Customs Officers’ Path winds through the magnificent landscape of Ploumanac’h, with its clusters of colourful granite boulders, its iconic lighthouse and the Sept Îles nature reserve as a backdrop. Along this imposing rocky coastline and across the moorland, the elements have sculpted the pink granite, sometimes giving it evocative shapes such as a witch, an upturned bottle or even a rabbit.
Stage 2
Oratory of Saint-Guirec
You’ll reach the pretty beach at Saint Guirec, lined with blocks of pink granite, on which a curious oratory was built. Built in the 12th century, it is, of course, dedicated to Saint Guirec, the Welsh monk who came from across the Channel to evangelise Brittany in the 7th century. Next to the beach there is also a chapel dedicated to the saint.
Step 3
Trégastel tide mill
Once you’ve passed the small, sheltered harbour of Ploumanac’h, you’ll come across two old tidal mills, built at the mouth of the mysterious Traouïéros valleys. The one at Trégastel, dating from the 14th century, remained in operation until 1932, generating power from the tides.
Step 4
Tourony Peninsula
From the Tourony peninsula, you can take in the whole of Sainte Anne Bay, with its many islets. One of them stands out in particular because of the manor house it is home to: the Château de Costaeres. Depending on the tide, why not treat yourself to a kayak or stand-up paddleboard trip amongst the islets!

Step 5
The Renote Peninsula
The walk around Renote Island may only be 2 kilometres long, but it’s a real highlight of the Pink Granite Coast! On the edge of Sainte Anne Bay, with views of Ploumanac’h and the Men Ruz lighthouse, a jumble of pink granite boulders, views of the Seven Islands and, to top it all off, a west-facing beach that’s one of the most beautiful spots to watch the sunset!
Try to spot the ‘Painter’s Palette’ on the island and, out at sea, discover the surprising Trégastel ‘dice’, balanced on its base.
Arrival
Coz Pors
At the end of this route, you’ll reach Coz Pors, where you can choose to finish with a break on the beach or on a terrace with a sea view – and a view of the pink granite, of course!
And to unwind after your walk, make the most of the 30-degree sea water and all the facilities at the Trégastel leisure centre.
