The commune of Ploulec'h is home to a magnificent hiking trail and a remarkable oppidum site*: the Yaudet site, a small hamlet just five kilometres west of Lannion. For many years, this was an important town and port.
The unique natural site of Le Yaudet is a promontory overlooking the mouth of the River Léguer and the Anse de la Vierge, which has been inhabited continuously since the earliest times, from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages. Beneath the topsoil are traces of a multitude of civilisations. It's one of the Armorican region's major archaeological sites. Here, sea and land meet, offering visitors sublime panoramic views and landscapes, filled with the colours of moorland and gorse.
