Listed as a Historic Monument on 18 January 1921, the parish church of Saint-Milliau dates from the late 15th or early 16th century and was probably built by the Philippe Beaumanoir workshop in Morlaix.
Seriously damaged by fire on 15 November 1589 during the wars of the League, it was rebuilt in the early 17th century, as attested by the dates inscribed on the chevet, the nave and the outer buttresses of the south elevation. The building was restored and extended during the 2nd half of the 19th century. In 1868, Victor Villiers de l'Isles-Adam, rector of Ploumilliau from 1864 to 1889, undertook the restoration of the north aisle and the extension of the north arm of the transept, as well as the construction of the sacristy and the font chapel, giving the building its current layout.
It houses a rare wooden statue of the Ankou, a representation of death in Brittany and the subject of many superstitions.
It is open on request from the Town Hall.
