Penvénan is home to two seaside resorts, Port Blanc and Buguélès. Sheltered from the winds, these resorts offer pleasant walks along the harbours, the fine sandy beaches and the mythical GR34. Here, every step is an invitation to look up, breathe in the salty air and marvel at the view. For lovers of unique landscapes, don’t miss the Rocher du voleur (Thief’s Rock) and the famous Rocher de la Sentinelle (Sentry Rock) in the beautiful village of Port Blanc: two places where sea and history meet!

A historical crossroads

The result of a mixture of historical periods, Penvénan offers a wide range of heritage sites. Come and visit the Chapelle Notre-Dame, a listed historic monument. Not far away, the Tossen Keller megaliths, near the Saint-Gonval chapel, are one of the town’s must-see sites. If you want to get away from it all, the marshes of Launay and Goaster are the lungs of Penvénan, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot some little egrets. If you’re a lover of beautiful gardens, you’ll love the different themes on offer in the Pellinec garden, with its exotic atmosphere and English-style landscapes!
