Bioinspiration: drawing inspiration from the living world to reinvent the future

  • Conference
CCI de Morlaix, 29600 Morlaix

Description

A lecture organised as part of the ‘Mercredis de l’Espace des sciences’ series, featuring Nadia Améziane, a biologist and taxonomist specialising in marine fauna at the National Museum of Natural History. For millions of years, marine organisms have developed remarkable adaptation strategies: resistance, regeneration, cooperation and energy optimisation. By observing living organisms, scientists are seeking new solutions to environmental challenges. Through examples drawn from the marine world, this lecture demonstrates how nature can inspire technologies, materials, habitats and production methods that are more respectful of ecosystems, whilst contributing to the ecological transition.
