Anecdote: Don’t miss the Place du Miroir, once an exhibition area for convicts, now a haven of peace lined with Baltard-style covered market halls.

A more challenging route, reserved for walkers who are comfortable with uneven terrain.

  • Highlights: The 12th-century Church of the Holy Trinity, the picturesque staircase district lined with little flower-filled houses and the Stanco wooded path.

Expert tip: Bring good shoes! Although it’s a short walk, the gradients on this route will delight those looking for a slightly more strenuous stroll through the heart of the city.
