10 places to admire a Breizh Sunset

When the sun begins to hide behind the horizon, the show promises to be magical in Brittany! Pink, orange, purple… The colours waltz across the sky, painting a celestial picture that we never tire of admiring: the sunsets of the Pink Granite Coast!
Sometimes, the clouds in the sky, whether massive or scattered, are tinged with warm, golden colours. Bordered by the sea, the Pink Granite Coast offers plenty of places to admire the light as it slowly disappears from the sky.
Ready to take in the sights? Here are our top spots for admiring the sunset in Brittany!

Coz Pors Beach

Trégastel

On the Coz-Pors beach, discover the surprising shapes of the granite rocks, which appear in shadow… Their natural pink colour is sublimated at dusk! At low tide, it’s a great place for a family game of hide-and-seek between the chaos of granite… And a great place to get out your camera!

Goas Lagorn beach

Beg Leguer

For a soft, enchanting light, Goas Lagorn beach in the town of Lannion is ideal. You can sit on the sand with a large towel and admire the horizon and the ocean as far as the eye can see. Perfect for a romantic moment alone with your other half.

L’Île Grande

Pleumeur-Bodou

Set course for Île Grande, a slightly craggy spot on the mainland that offers some great places to watch the sun set. Nearby, you can hear the sounds of seagulls and gulls, also privileged spectators of this magical spectacle on the Pink Granite Coast.

Goariva site

Plougras

A moment of beauty and tranquillity awaits us at the Goariva site in Plougras. At an altitude of 314m, this panoramic site offers a 360° sunset over this mysterious region of the Trégor. You can even enjoy a picnic in a little hut while you wait for the sun to set!

Never let a sunset escape you again.

Le Dourven

Trédrez-Locquémeau

For a breathtaking visual spectacle, make a date with the Pointe du Dourven in the town of Trédrez-Locquémeau. Between coastal moors, cliffs and granite chaos, there’s something to be said for watching the sun set in this marvellous natural setting.

Le Castel

Trébeurden

Here, the miracle of low tide opens the passageway to the Ile Milliau on foot. Overlooking the Trébeurden marina, the Castel rock sublimates the pink granite as the rays of the setting sun fall on this unique protected natural site in western France.

Port-La-Chaîne beach

Pleubian

This beach, with sand on one side and pebbles on the other, offers a peaceful moment for those who venture out. You can see the boats silhouetted against the water. As for the Port La Chaîne lighthouse, it is illuminated by the last rays of the sun, its glittering beam sweeping across the sky and horizon.

Le Gouffre

Plougrescant

Le Gouffre in Plougrescant is a magnificent place to take a breath of fresh air and marvel at what nature has to offer with these rocks shaped by the elements. Along the walk, you can feel a gentle breeze in summer, which brings with it the salty smell of the sea. It’s definitely one of our favourite outings to watch the sunset on the Pink Granite Coast!

Trestel beach

Trévou-Tréguignec

Here, the palette of colours is dazzling! A surfing beach par excellence, you can listen to the waves crashing vigorously onto the shore and watch surfers master the waves with grace and determination, as the first colours heralding sunset make their appearance.

Port l’épine

Trélévern

When you arrive at the beach, you can feel the grains of sand under your feet, warmed by the sunny day that has just come to an end. The subdued light and the lapping of the water in the background are ideal for strolling through this enchanting landscape.
