Tréguier, Petite Cité de Caractère®

At the confluence of the Jaudy and Guindy rivers, the Gothic cathedral stands proudly on the Place du Martray, inviting visitors to explore its majestic chapels and vaults. Outside, a small staircase leads to the cloister, an architectural jewel and lapidary museum. All around the Martray the granite mansions and timber-framed houses vie with each other in beauty, while the shops, artists’ studios and art galleries arouse curiosity. In the heart of the town, Ernest Renan’s birthplace tells the story of the writer’s life and thought.
