Tréguier, Petite Cité de Caractère©

At the confluence of the Jaudy and Guindy rivers, the Gothic cathedral stands proudly on Place du Martray, inviting visitors to explore its chapels and majestic vaults. Outside, a small flight of steps leads to the cloister, an architectural gem and a museum of stone carvings. All around the Place du Martray, granite mansions and half-timbered houses vie for attention with their beauty, whilst shops, artists’ studios and art galleries pique the curiosity of visitors. In the heart of the town, Ernest Renan’s birthplace tells the story of the writer’s life and thought.
