Rue Jean Monnet, 22140 Cavan
The Vallée du Ru in Cavan is crossed by the river of the same name, which rises in Kergroas. The ‘Vallée des Arts’ (Valley of the Arts) was born out of the desire of the local councillors to acquire a sculpture each year to liven up this natural area, which has been laid out as a promenade. The first acquisition was a small granite owl, the town's emblem, which stands at the corner of the wash-house.
A particularly memorable experience in 1998 was when David Puech, the sculptor in residence, came to work in full view of the public.
The works gradually spread throughout the valley before emancipating themselves in the direction of the town.

The Valley of the Arts has been a source of inspiration for a number of artists, who have created astonishing sculptures that are now on display along the path. It's an invitation to take a stroll between art and nature.

The site is open all year round. A visitor's booklet is available from the town hall.
Group visits are available through the ‘Les Amis des Arts’ association.
