This river rises at Pen Bizien, 11km further south. It joins with the Jaudy to form a magnificent estuary stretching all the way to the English Channel.
1st category river
fish: brown trout, sculpin, minnow
Most of the river's waters flow over a sandy/muddy granite substratum, which is ideal for growing fish quickly. Anglers will find a good proportion of good-sized trout and the presence of salmon.
The Jaudy bears witness to the flax industry that made the Trégor region so rich between the 16th and 20th centuries. Flax production used water to roll the fibre and the driving force of water to power the scutching mills.
A number of hiking trails tell the story of this period: Les chemins de l'eau (1.5 km), Le Poulloguer, un site à découvrir (1.2 km).
Numerous signposted footpaths for walking, mountain biking, horse riding, cycling and trail biking.
Information, guides and full programme available from the Tourist Office.
This tributary of the Jaudy, which flows between Pleudaniel and Hengoat, is criss-crossed by numerous hiking trails, including the famous Mon Tro Breizh®. In this green environment, you'll discover a very rich ecosystem that appreciates these wetlands, as well as old mills and the small Kerdeozer waterfall.
