The Toul Ar Roussin site, one of the most beautiful on the coast, is well worth a visit for two reasons: Firstly, it offers a magnificent view of Tomé Island, the seven islands and Perros Bay; secondly, it recalls a whole period of history linked to the defence of the coast, as illustrated by the historical panel erected here, which reminds walkers of the strategic aspect of the site at a time when Perros Bay, a haven of tranquillity for merchant ships, was the object of much covetousness on the part of privateers. If you go around the mound, you can see the entrance to an underground passageway that is currently blocked off due to the risk of landslides. An opening has been made to allow the bats that have taken up residence there to circulate freely.
