Enclosed by a perimeter wall, this astonishing ‘lighthouse’ looks more like a house topped by a flashing beacon. It is in fact a sector light, which you have to align yourself with to access the Port la Chaîne anchorage. In the past, sailors had to keep in line with this light and that of Saint Antoine, set back a little inland, but the latter has been removed.
