Accompanied or completely free, become #capitained1day and discover the prettiest corners of the Pink Granite Coast as seen from the sea. Paddle, kayak, sailboat or flippers: the nautical adventure is within reach, accessible to all, solo, as a duo or with your whole tribe.

Alone or with your tribe

After strolling along the customs path and lounging on the sand, we ventured out onto the water. “We’re by the sea and we’re not even going out on it!” says Martin, my son, like a challenge. And he’s right. So the adventure is at the end of the beach and the choice is easy with #capitained1jour: a brochure, 5 ideas for sea or river trips and a booking at any tourist office and voila: for us it will be a small sailboat, as a family and with a skipper. Between the Bag an holl in Trébeurden and the Fillao in Perros-Guirec, the choice is difficult: these two boats are rock-solid and every trip they offer is worth the diversions.

Boarding at Trébeurden

We opt for the one at Trébeurden, departing from the port, boarding, for grandfather with his walking stick, is easier.
We climb aboard! First surprise: nothing moves! Our hearts beat a little faster, but we were completely safe, well looked after by Grégory, our guide.

The Pink Granite Coast seen from the sea

We who are complete neophytes are already hoisting the sails. The boat glides gently, silently, and the coast from the sea looks so different in this light. Even wilder! And the marine fauna we come across around Molène Island is there to confirm it.

Taking the helm and being #capitained1day

My husband, doped up by the iodine air, takes on the role of a long-distance sailor for a moment and decides to take the helm. Under Grégory’s guidance – which also reassures me – he takes us safely back to our starting point, happy and proud. Moments immortalised on our mobile phones. Here, #capitained1jour takes on its full meaning.

We’ll do it again during our stay on another part of the territory

The family on our giant paddle…

So giant paddle at the Port Blanc nautical centre. Party of crazy laughter and uncontrolled falls under the benevolent gaze of the guardhouse that once protected the village from pirate attack.

It’s not all pink, there’s turquoise too…

…Or a sea kayak trip from Plougrescant, ideal for a family outing. From the customs hut, paddle gently towards the Isle of Er, Pors Hir or the Isle of Loaven, guided in complete safety through a wild and soothing landscape. Children have fun, parents discover: a natural activity, between turquoise water, granite rocks and small oyster harbours, accessible to all and adapted to the tides. A fun way to become #captain1day in the heart of the Pink Granite Coast.

The Pink Granite Coast is also exceptional from the sea!
