Practical information

Focus on

The must-haves
Step 1

From Lannion to Perros Guirec

To start your tour, you’ll discover the city center of Lannion, Cité d’Arts et d’Histoire, and you can also climb to the top of the Brélévenez staircase for a breathtaking view of the city. Walking up the Stanco valley, you join the old railway line that takes you to Perros-Guirec and passes close to the covered alley of Crec’h Quilié. When you reach the coast, take the GR34 and discover the port of Perros-Guirec and, further on, the Pointe de Château with its 180° views, from Ploumanac’h to Plougrescant, via the Sept-Iles archipelago. Two-hour guided cruises depart from Trestraou beach to discover this fabulous reserve and its seabird population.

Step 2

From Perros-Guirec to Kérénoc

On the coastal paths of Ploumanac’h, you can’t miss the famous Men Ruz lighthouse amidst the rocky chaos. You’ll also discover the Saint-Guirec oratory and the charming port of Ploumana’c’h, as well as the Trégastel tide mill at the entrance to the Traouïeros valley. In the middle of the Baie de Sainte Anne, the château de Costaéres sits enthroned on its islet, while the customs path leads to the Renote peninsula in its pink granite setting. Shortly after Coz Pors, you’ll be treated to a splendid panorama overlooking the Grève Blanche. You can then explore the wilder Landrellec peninsula, with the meadows and moors of Broinguiller, or the charming little port of Landrellec.

Step 3

From Kérénoc to Trébeurden

There are several possibilities for this 3rd stage of your tour. If you follow the GR®34, you’ll pass through the Saint-Samson jewel-case and the famous Radôme de Pleumeur-Bodou, but you can also go directly to the imposing Christianized menhir of Saint-Uzec. After passing Pernvern and its remarkable chapel, you’ll reach Ile Grande, which you can walk around along the coastal path, and possibly discover the LPO station attached to the Sept-Iles reserve, as well as the covered walkway of Ile Grande. On the way back to Trébeurden, you’ll come across other megaliths close to the path, in particular the covered alley of Prajou Menhir, before reaching the Quellen marsh where you may spot Camargue horses.

Step 4

From Trébeurden to Lannion

Note the Castel and its huge blocks of pink granite. Depending on the tide, you can cross over to Ile Miliau. After skirting the Tresmeur beach via the GR34, you reach the Pointe de Bihit and its magnificent panorama over the Bay of Lannion. The customs path then takes you to the entrance to the Goas Lagorn valley, and the pointe de Beg Léguer, which marks the entrance to the Léguer valley. You then reach Lannion along the old towpath that runs alongside the river.
