A cultural trip
On the seafront, the Trédrez cliffs are undoubtedly one of the must-do walks in the area. Walk along the sea for almost 6 km on this steep path dotted with various panoramic viewpoints where you can admire unique wild landscapes. Not far away is the pointe du Dourven, Breton for “rustling stone”, which has been fortified several times over the years, as evidenced by the guardhouse still standing on the site. Granite chaos, cliffs and wild vegetation await you in this place where the famous composer Paul Le Flem stayed. On the land side, the 16th-century Gothic churches of Notre-Dame-de-Trédrez and Saint-Quémeau are two good places to stop: guided tours are offered in high season, giving you the chance to discover a remarkable parish enclosure. The village’s history can also be seen at the manor house of Coat Trédrez, in the Trédrez countryside.
