A programme for all the family

Fun walks, traditional festivals, guinguettes and explorations in the heart of nature punctuate the summer season according to the tribe’s desires… Enough to delight parents and children alike!

And you, which entertainment will you fall for this summer in Brittany?

Guided tours and walks: when culture makes an event in Brittany

Every summer, Brittany’s petites Cités de Caractères invite you to discover their secrets on guided family walks. From Tréguier to Lannion, via the natural setting of Kernansquillec, all you have to do is choose the perfect walk for all the family… And why not all three?

Our guided tours and walks:

  • Les aventures d’Aldéric à Tréguier: young knights beware, the Middle Ages are just waiting for you! As you wander through the picturesque narrow streets, let yourself be guided by our passionate storytellers, ready to reveal the mysteries and legends of this fascinating period in Tréguier. It’s a journey back in time.
  • The Devil is at Kernansquillec: young and old, plunge into the heart of nature, which has reclaimed its rightful place in Brittany! This guided walk, accessible to children, will take you along enchanting paths where the mysteries of the devil and local stories come to life. Get ready for a captivating adventure where nature and the supernatural meet in a breathtaking setting!
  • The fun walk in the footsteps of Noan in Lannion: this tour is an opportunity to transform yourself into a shopkeeper of yesteryear! Lannion, classified as a Town of Art and History, is an open-air museum where every street corner tells a story. Pack your rucksacks, put on your best shoes and open your eyes wide to solve the riddles and discover the local legends of Brittany!
  • The Moutik le Dragon treasure hunt: this little dragon has hidden clues in the streets and monuments of Lannion. As you explore, solve riddles and take on fun challenges. So don’t wait any longer and set off on your adventure!
The Place aux Mômes festival in Brittany is making a comeback!

If you’re planning a family visit to Trébeurden this summer, you should know that the town is hosting the 27th edition of the Place aux Mômes Festival! Whether it’s a puppet show, circus or dance, children will be living a waking dream as they navigate from workshop to workshop!

The Fest noz: a good vibes evening 100% Brittany!

For Celtic party-loving tribes: the Fest noz is the ultimate family event in Brittany! Gavotte, an-dro or plinn, this not-to-be-missed festival invites young and old to dance to the rhythm of Breton music. Think you’ve got two left feet? Don’t worry! Breton dances are (very) repetitive, so you’ll quickly understand the steps.

At Fest noz, welcome to a good-natured immersion in Breton culture!

Walking in the great outdoors: take a breath of fresh air this summer in Brittany

It’s a well-known fact: travel shapes youth! If your little one is still too young for a long expedition, start by taking him on a hike in Brittany this summer. And with a donkey, it’s even better! Or perhaps you’d prefer to try your hand at fishing as a family? All that’s left is for you to vote to decide on your next activity!

Discover all our 100% nature workshops:

  • Fishing activities: how about taking a river fishing course this summer? During this activity, learn the art of handling a fishing rod, meet the local fish and release them in their natural habitat… Competitions and advanced courses are also available for more experienced anglers! Don’t forget your camera to capture your best catch.
  • Baroque strolls and Séraphine tours: between a country concert and a dramatised tour, actress Camille Le Jeune invites the whole family to combine culture, music and history!
  • La Combe aux Ânes: Florence and Philippe open the doors of their educational farm in Brittany! From discovery workshops to educational activities, this guided tour lets you find out more about the farm animals and their daily lives. The youngest can even become a farmer for a day.
  • Natural spaces come alive: extraordinary landscapes, wild animals and secrets to discover on the Pink Granite Coast. A family outing to explore the rocks sculpted by the sea, watch birds and otters, and discover the unique flora and fauna of the region. Young and old alike will find plenty to do in this Breton paradise.
  • Le Léguer en fête: the wild Léguer river awaits you to discover its nature and heritage and meet its inhabitants, who will be waiting to welcome you with concerts, stories and workshops… Enjoy the magnificent scenery with your family and let yourself be charmed by the beauty of the Léguer.

Ginguette & bar: spend the summer on a terrace in Brittany!

What could be better on a summer’s evening than to take the tribe out on the terrace? Guinguette, restaurant or bar, in Brittany, good humour is contagious! While you’re enjoying your crêpe au caramel beurre salé, take in a concert or organised show. The perfect friendly atmosphere for the summer season!

A la carte for your gourmet outings:

  • La Mutante: enjoy a meal, a drink or an ice cream in the ephemeral guinguette of a 15th century manor house! On the programme: shows, concerts, DJ sets, workshops and organic farmers’ markets.
  • La Grange Vadrouille: come and enjoy a multitude of concerts and other family activities during the summer season!

Fireworks: spotlight on Brittany!

Every summer, Brittany is ablaze with fireworks at the time of 14 July! Parents and children alike can’t wait to come and admire the Breton sky lit up by a thousand lights.

See you at:

  • Trébeurden: before the fireworks are fired, come and enjoy a variety of family entertainment. There will be designer markets, Breton dances, concerts and games for children!
  • Tréguier: a concert awaits you just before the fireworks!
