Parole de Breizh, invites you to discover the Côte de Granit Rose through encounters with those who live Brittany, transform it and cultivate it. These ambassadors are craftsmen, artists, producers… but above all, inhabitants of the Trégor. They love the Côte de Granit Rose and explain why growing the essentials is so important!

De Lille à Pleumeur-Bodou : Un rêve d’enfance réalisé Pierre Hereng is originally from the Nord, below Lille. He always dreamed of living in Brittany, a childhood dream that he fulfilled eight years ago.

One day, I’ll be back! he said to himself.

And that day arrived. Attracted by the ready-made environment and the Breton quality of life, he found his haven of peace in Pleumeur-Bodou.

A family story

A family passion Pierre’s passion for fishing is a family affair. His father, grandfather and uncles were all fishermen. As a child, however, he didn’t often get the chance to go fishing with the adults, which led to a certain amount of frustration.

When I grow up, I’ll go fishing and I’ll do it really seriously! he promised himself.

A varied career

A family passion Before settling in Brittany, Pierre explored several fields. He was a climber, a nautical engineer and worked in clothes shops. In 2016, he finally settled in Brittany and worked as a fittings and boating manager at Trégastel. However, the need for nature and freedom was felt, and in 2020-2021, he trained to become a fishing guide instructor, obtaining the BPJEPS with a sea fishing option. Pierre’s days start early at the port of Trébeurden, where he takes his boat in. “I collect bait, prepare the lines and make my lures,” he explains. An hour before the trainees or clients arrive, he puts the finishing touches to the preparations. After a safety briefing, he takes them out to sea, adjusting his trips according to the weather and the season. Tracking fish is a constant challenge, but Pierre does his best to offer his clients a memorable experience.

The Chinese portrait of Pierre

If you ét a élément? “If you were to choose a colour? “The warm green of the sea” If you were to use a word? “If you were to name an animal? “The porpoise”

People tell me they’ve had a great time and keep coming back!
