And what better way to make the most of a sunny day than to relax over a lovely picnic?

Let us guide you through the well-kept secrets of the Pink Granite Coast, where you’ll discover our top 7 spots for a magical picnic!

Trébeurden

For our first destination, we’re taking you to Trébeurden!

A very popular destination for its beaches and summery atmosphere, the town has several picnic areas where you can enjoy a peaceful meal in the open air.

To watch a magnificent sunset, the Pointe de Bihit picnic area offers an exceptional panoramic view of the coast. For a lovely picnic with friends, the Pors Termen picnic area is ideal.

To round off your meal in the open air, be sure to pop into the Fabrique du Potager, situated near Pors Mabo beach, and savour the delicious oysters on offer at the Atelier de l’huître!

The best local tip

Right next door, La Fabrique du Potager and L’Atelier de l’Huître are great places to pick up a few extras for your picnic.

The Renote Peninsula in Trégastel

For our second destination, head to the Renote Peninsula in Trégastel! It’s the perfect spot for a gourmet break with friends. A little tip: do try the salted butter cream from Jacques Chauleur at Caramel 22 – let us know what you think! Settle down on the rocks in this picturesque setting, surrounded by the sea and lush greenery.

Whether you’re looking for a fine sandy beach or a peaceful patch of grass, the Renote Peninsula picnic area offers a memorable experience for moments of conviviality and total relaxation on the Pink Granite Coast.

The local gem

Before you settle in, pop into Mariette’s patisserie for a little sweet treat!

Plougrescant

The third destination we recommend is Plougrescant. Imagine walking along a winding path flanked by granite cliffs, until you reach a little corner of paradise: Plougrescant. Nestled amongst spectacular scenery, this place offers unspoilt nature and absolute tranquillity – it is the land of the Tors.

Before settling down at one of the spots we’re about to suggest, pop into the Ferme des Hautes Terres, where local farmers – bakers, shepherds and Highland cattle breeders – offer a selection of sourdough breads to accompany your meal in the open air.

Now you’re ready to settle down at Pors Scaff, Le Castel or Beg Ar Vilin and enjoy the picturesque setting, with the beach and majestic rocks as a backdrop!

The best local tip

La Maison du Littoral, situated in the heart of the Gouffre site, offers supervised outings all year round.

Beffou Forest in Loguivy-Plougras

Let’s now leave the coast behind and venture into the woods and valleys of Trégor to discover the mysterious Beffou Forest in Loguivy-Plougras.

The southern area of the Beffou Forest offers an enchanting setting where you can relax and enjoy your meal surrounded by greenery. For a sheltered spot, the covered picnic area at the Beffou Arboretum is perfect, offering a welcoming space even in changeable weather. If you prefer a rustic atmosphere, the Beffou Forest House picnic area is the ideal spot, with its authentic charm. Finally, don’t miss the ‘Aire du Pavé’, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Lannion

The fifth destination for a picnic with friends is Lannion! Both the capital of Trégor and a town of art and history, Lannion is sure to surprise you… Whether you’re looking for a leafy setting, a picturesque view or simply a convenient spot in the heart of the town, Lannion is brimming with options for your next picnic. Let yourself be charmed by the Goas Lagorn picnic area, nestled in the heart of a peaceful natural setting, or opt for the area near the Moulin du Duc, where you can enjoy a bucolic atmosphere. For those who prefer convenience, the picnic area next to Lannion’s tourist office is the ideal spot to relax whilst remaining close to the hustle and bustle of the town.

Why not pop into the Trégor artisan cannery to sample a gourmet aperitif of seafood rillettes, or discover the dairy products from the Bergerie de Kroaz Min!

A local gem

Once you’ve settled in at the Goas Lagorn picnic area, why not make the most of it and extend your walk to the nearby beach!

Lézardrieux

The next destination for a picnic with friends is Lézardrieux! Set in unspoilt natural surroundings, this charming Breton village offers two picnic areas perfect for relaxing and enjoying time with friends.

The Craqulais picnic area offers a haven of tranquillity by the water’s edge, where you can settle down comfortably and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. For an even more picturesque experience, head to the Kermouster picnic area, situated at the mouth of the Trieux, a small coastal river in Brittany. To make this break even more of a culinary treat, pop into the ‘craquanterie’ to stock up on some delicious treats!

A local gem

After your picnic at the Craqulais rest area, hop aboard the Passeur du Trieux for a guided boat trip along the river.

The highlight! Sunset aperitifs on a sailing boat

If you’ve got your sea legs! Leave the customs officers’ path behind and set sail for a unique aperitif and light dinner on board an old sailing ship for the ultimate picnic experience. A twilight cruise on a traditional sailing vessel around the archipelagos of the Pink Granite Coast, setting off from Perros-Guirec or Lézardrieux.

Whilst helping with the manoeuvres on the Côtre Sant C’Hireg or the Enez Koalen, you’ll enjoy a convivial moment over a glass of white wine, beer from Trégor breweries, or fruit juice for the younger guests. But above all, on deck, you’ll savour oysters with their briny flavours, as well as delicious, typically Breton local specialities… It’s sure to be an unforgettable sunset!

And that’s not all!

There are endless possibilities for picnics with friends on the Pink Granite Coast. Whether you choose a lively beach, a secluded cove or a rocky outcrop, you’ll be amazed by the natural beauty all around you.
