Parole de Breizh invites you to discover the Pink Granite Coast through encounters with those who live Brittany, transform it and cultivate it. These ambassadors are craftsmen, artists, producers… but first and foremost, the people of Trégor. They love the Pink Granite Coast and explain why it’s important to cultivate what’s essential!

A story of family and passion
In Lannion, in the heart of the Trégor region, stands an elegant black and wood building: the Warenghem distillery. This family treasure, built over five generations, is the reflection of a know-how where tradition and innovation intertwine.
Founded by enthusiasts, the distillery is now run by Anne and David Roussier, who, after travelling the world from Angers to New York via Haute-Savoie, decided to return to their roots and take over the family business.
Back in Brittany, Anne and David are breathing new energy into this iconic company. Anchored in its terroir, the Warenghem distillery defends the values of transmission and respect for the environment.
Their commitment is reflected in sustainable practices and a choice of mainly local raw materials, often organically grown. Each stage of production aims to limit the ecological footprint, without ever compromising the quality of the final product.

Breton whiskies combining tradition and innovation

A pioneer in Breton whisky, the Warenghem distillery has produced some unique creations: l’elixir d’Armorique, pommeau de Bretagne, and whiskies inspired by Scottish and Irish traditions, but 100% made in Trégor.
This diversity of flavours and characters means there’s something for everyone, from the curious on a quest for an initiation to the enlightened connoisseur in search of more intense gustatory emotions.
More than just a distillery, a place to meet and share ideas
At Warenghem, each product tells a story: the story of know-how handed down from generation to generation, but also the story of a sincere commitment to a sustainable future.
The distillery is not just a place of production, it’s a living space for sharing and discovery, where whisky lovers come to share much more than just a moment of tasting, a real Breton experience, authentic and human.
The experience: creating your own whisky
In its quest to share and innovate, the distillery has launched a new concept: the blending workshop. Accompanied by the cellar master or Alwen, one of the passionate guides, visitors can now create their own whisky from six different bases. It’s an immersive, sensory experience, with each participant leaving with a unique bottle that reflects his or her tastes and creativity.

Anne’s Chinese portrait
A spot on the Pink Granite Coast? I’ve got loads, but I’m going to talk about the Léguer valley. Because it’s nature, I like walking along the river in the forest, it’s something I love. At dawn, I like it even more.
A flavour? I’d go for anything that comes from the sea, maybe spiders, abalone, whatever you go fishing for. And then maybe also the products of the earth, which are mushrooms, chestnuts…
If you were a colour? orange
If you were a season? summer

Cultivating the essential

What does the expression “Cultivate the essential” mean to you?
For Anne, many things. If I were talking about whisky, about the distillery, I’d perhaps emphasise the values of sharing, conviviality and a sense of teamwork and community. The team needed to create the products. And then there’s the link with the region we’re in, the community too, in that sense.
