The parish church of Tonquédec is dedicated to Saint-Pierre. In 1447, it was established as a collegiate church by Eugene IV, Pope in Avignon. Its construction was financed by the House of Coëtmen, lord of the fortified castle of Tonquédec. The coat of arms, ‘Gules with nine silver rings’, appears in the glass roof, on a pillar and on one of the buttresses of the chevet.
