rue de la chapelle, 22560 Trébeurden
Built around the 14th century, probably by mendicant monks, it must have been altered in the 18th century, as evidenced by the date 1770 inscribed on the façade. The chapel, also known as Notre Dame de Pitié (Our Lady of Pity), has a simple exterior but is built on a knoll offering an extraordinary panoramic view of the sea and its islets. Inside, there are a few simple statues representing the Virgin Mary, Saint John and Christ on the Cross; the altar is made of stone. Facing out to sea is a calvary dating from 1697. The chapel is a listed historic monument. The chapel hosts artists' exhibitions. Outside these exhibitions, it is closed to the public. Location: rue de la chapelle (100m from the village)
Open during painting exhibitions.
