The church is dedicated to Saint Maudez, a 6th-century priest.
The neo-Gothic building comprises a single nave with a six-bay aisle and a semi-circular choir.
The bell tower-wall was built using materials from the former 15th-century church. Dated 1717, it was rebuilt identically in 1860. Built in the Beaumanoir style, it is flanked by a turret with a dome and topped by a small six-sided spire.
The rest of the building was rebuilt between July 1885 and 7 March 1886 to the designs of diocesan architect Ernest Le Guerrannic by contractor Morvan from Vieux-Marché.
The church has an interesting collection of furnishings, including a 16th-century processional banner that has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1972.
It depicts Saint-Maudez on one side and the crucifixion on the other.
It is open on request from the town hall.
It is located on a hiking trail.
