Small farms dating from the 19th century line the estuary. According to current archaeological research, an ancient Gallo-Roman villa may have been built on the Lédano coastal site. In addition, numerous archaeological remains dating from the Gallo-Roman period to the Early Middle Ages have been discovered in the Trieux at this site. The Lédano was also an important fishing site, both for fixed stone fisheries and for oyster beds, which have now been replaced by table-top oyster beds. The markers at Lédano date back to the 4th quarter of the 19th century. The Camarel cove on the municipal boundary with Pleudaniel was traditionally a small beaching port for barges and seaweed boats.
