Nouveauté 2025 - Parcours Découverte de l'étang de Gwazh ar Stank

  • Fishing
Rue de St Yves, 22420 Le Vieux-Marché
Close to the wild Léguer river, this small lake is a great place to start out and learn how to catch your first fish. Classed as a second category lake, the 1,000 m² surface area is home to roach, tench and carp.
4 fishing pontoons, accessible to wheelchair users, allow you to get as close as possible to the heart of the pond. A long walkway takes you through the adjoining wetland to observe the wildlife.
A picnic area with barbecue, covered shelter, dry toilets and plenty of children's play equipment complete the facilities.

Specific regulations :
- Only 1 rod authorised per angler
- All fish must be returned to the water
- Fishing authorised all year round for white fish
- Boats and float-tubes are prohibited

Services ++ at the tourist office :
* sale of fishing cards
* fisherman's kit (presentation of fishing routes and prefectoral decrees)
* full programme of fishing events
* geolocated access to the banks of the Léguer and Guic rivers

In 2025, following a national moratorium, fishing for migratory species (Atlantic salmon and sea trout) will be completely banned in rivers, estuaries and the sea, including no-kill fishing.
