At low tide, you can spot some migratory or wintering birds, attracted here by the continuous presence of food. Purring Brent Geese are a common sight.
Smaller birds can also be spotted in this cove: the Dunlin, a plump relative of the Woodcock, the Ruddy Turnstone, which turns over stones and seaweed in search of a few victuals, and the wary Silver Plover, which loves these mudflats rich in impressive microfauna.
