Solo or with the family

After strolling along the customs path and lazing on the sand, we ventured out onto the water. “We’re by the sea and we’re not even going out on it?” says Martin, my son, like a challenge. And he’s right. So adventure is at the end of the beach, and the choice is easy with #capitained1jour: a brochure, 9 ideas for sea or river rides and a reservation at any tourist office and voila: for us it’ll be a small sailboat, with family and skipper. Between the Bag an holl in Trébeurden and the Fillao in Perros-Guirec, the choice is difficult: both boats are extremely stable, and every trip is worth a detour.

We opt for the Trébeurden boat, which departs from the port, making it easier for grandpa with his walking stick to board.
We climb aboard! First surprise: nothing moves! Our hearts beat a little faster, but we were completely safe, well looked after by Christophe, our guide.

The Pink Granite Coast from the sea

As complete neophytes, we’re already hoisting the sails. The boat glides along gently, in silence, and the coast from the sea looks so different in this light. Even wilder! And the marine life we see around Molène Island confirms this.

Take the helm and be #capitained1day

My husband, doped up by the iodized air, takes on the role of a long-distance sailor for a moment and decides to take the helm. Under Christophe’s guidance – which also reassures me – he takes us safely back to our starting point, happy and proud. Moments immortalized on our cell phones. Here, #capitained1jour takes on its full meaning.

We’ll do it again during our stay. We hesitate between speed and slowness.

On the sand, I’m looking for sensations

We can either go sand yachting at the Plestin-les-Grèves nautical center, or go for the long stretches of sand on Saint Efflam beach. All bets are off for whoever gets their wheels off the ground first!

In the middle flows a river

…Or take a leisurely kayak trip down the Léguer River from the Sports Nature base in Lannion. There’s no torrent here, just a wild river lined with ancient trees. A strange sensation in the middle of pastures.

Our mood and the weather will decide.

I’ve confirmed that the Pink Granite Coast is also exceptional when viewed from the sea!
