From the 17th century onwards, the Italian style, characterised by its virtuosity and expressiveness, exerted a significant influence on the French musical scene. French composers began travelling to Italy to learn from the Masters. At the same time, Italian musicians left the peninsula and began travelling the kingdoms of Europe. Some of them settled there, helping to spread their music and the way it was played. Our 39th edition will be devoted to these cross-cultural journeys, with nine concerts and two lectures. It’s an invitation to travel in the company of Charpentier, Handel, Vivaldi, Bach and many others…
