La Roche-Derrien, a medieval heritage

In Saint Catherine’s Church, you’ll witness Charles de Blois’ surrender to the English in 1347, and experience the last minutes of the siege of the town as if you were there. Thanks to a 3D sound reconstruction (binaural), you’ll share in the fate of the inhabitants who took refuge in the church, in a sensational audio docu-drama.

An exhibition space dedicated to bocage heritage, the Maison des talus et des routoirs à lin showcases the aspects that make the bocage a distinctive landscape feature, an inseparable part of agricultural activity and an important element in water quality. Starting point for several flax-themed hiking trails.
