Itinerant Stay

The famous “sentier des douaniers”, or GR34, takes you through spectacular seascapes. Winding along the coastline, it offers exceptional panoramic views of the sea and surrounding islets. Admire the granite chaos, majestic natural sculptures that rise up out of the sea. The ever-changing light sublimates these formations, creating mesmerizing plays of light and shadow. Don’t miss this unique experience where nature and beauty meet for an unforgettable adventure!

From Lannion to the gates of Perros-Guirec (12km)

In the early afternoon, you’ll be met at the Tourist Office in Lannion, a charming historic town located at the end of the Léguer estuary, just a few kilometers from the sea. Lannion, with its lively streets and rich heritage, is the perfect place to start your stay. Depart for Louannec along the voie Emile Orain, a former railroad line that offers a pleasant stroll through varied landscapes. You’ll spend the night in a two-star hotel, where you can relax and enjoy the comforts of home after half a day’s walking. Dinner on your own.

Perros-Guirec to Trégastel (16 km)

After skirting the port of Perros-Guirec, you reach the Pointe du Château, with a glimpse of the Seven Islands in the distance. Beaches, seaside villas and 19th-century manor houses accompany you on your way to Ploumanac’h. Gradually, the scenery changes and the path winds its way through moorland and granite chaos. Along the way, open your eyes wide: a bottle, a rabbit, a witch… There’s no shortage of evocative rock shapes! And their colors? Pink, of course! A beautiful coppery pink that glows in the sun… To the very north of the site, the pink granite Mean Ruz lighthouse rises up from the chaos, and you follow the path to the little beach of Saint-Guirec and its famous oratory, then on to the port of Ploumanac’h, naturally sheltered at the entrance to the mysterious Traouïero valley. At the end of this cove, you’ll come across two ancient tide mills before arriving at Trégastel. In the center of Baie Sainte-Anne, the improbable château de Costaérès sits enthroned on its islet, which you pass to reach the little chapel of Sainte-Anne des rochers, marking the end of this stage. Overnight in a 3-star hotel, dinner in a restaurant offering a splendid view of Coz Pors and the granite chaos.

From Trégastel to Pleumeur-Bodou (14 km)

The day begins with a visit to Île Renote, with its grandiose landscapes and surprising granite chaos. The trail continues between beaches, rocks and moors, leading to the sumptuous panorama of Trégastel, overlooking the “grève banche” and the imposing rock formation of King Gradlon’s crown. The bay of Kerlavos offers a calmer, more intimate atmosphere, before the trail takes you to the heart of the Bringuiller natural site, with its diversity of landscapes combining mineral and plant life. You then reach Landrellec and its little port, in a setting that constantly changes with the tides, uncovering and then covering its precious foreshore. At the end of the route, you’ll take a short detour to discover an imposing dolmen and a covered walkway almost 10 metres long, with carved motifs on the pillars. Overnight half-board in a 3-star hotel.

From Pleumeur-Bodou to Trébeurden (20 km)

This stage takes you first inland, where you’ll be surprised by the peaceful haven of Saint-Samson and its Beaumanoir church, then by the Radôme, which imposes its white spherical silhouette in this verdant landscape, and finally by the famous Christianized menhir of Saint-Uzec. The tour of Ile Grande takes in beaches, islets and rocky points. Here, granite is grey and of excellent quality for construction. Numerous quarries have enabled it to be exploited on a large scale, and today it can be found in numerous squares and monuments, from the Morlaix viaduct to Paris and even Lourdes. Île Grande is also home to the LPO station associated with the Seven Islands archipelago. Back on the mainland, a quick detour takes you to the Prajou Menhir covered walkway, with its imposing 12-metre megaliths. The trail then takes you through the moors of Milin ar Lan and along the Quellen marsh, where you may be lucky enough to spot a few Camargue horses grazing. Overnight half-board in a ** hotel.

From Trébeurden to Lannion (18.5 km)

In the first part of this final stage, you’ll encounter astonishing rock formations and pink granite. Try to catch a glimpse of Father Trébeurden, who watches over the chaos of Castel, opposite Ile Milliau. Shortly afterwards, you’ll climb a particularly steep point, but the view is well worth the effort! Cliffs and small beaches follow until you reach the entrance to the Léguer estuary. Gradually leave the maritime atmosphere behind, and reach Lannion via the towpath that used to pull boats from the open sea into the commercial city. In the late afternoon, explore Lannion’s historic center. A maze of cobbled streets and alleyways awaits you. Look up and admire the superb half-timbered and slate houses that bear witness to the town’s medieval past and Renaissance wealth. Place du Général-Leclerc, the “Maison aux Chapeliers”, entirely covered in slate, and its neighbor, rich in decorative details, are ultra photogenic! Overnight in a 3-star hotel, dinner at your expense.

During your stay, you’ll have the pleasure of staying in 2 and 3 star hotels, carefully selected for their comfort and privileged location, guaranteeing you restful nights and a warm welcome throughout your trip.
