La Roche Jaune

Step 3
Saint Gonery chapel
In the heart of the village of Plougrescant, you won’t want to miss the surprising Saint Gonery chapel and its astonishing leaning bell tower. The oldest part of the bell tower dates back to the 11th century, while the nave was built in the 15th century. Inside, the ceiling features remarkable paintings. In the enclosure surrounding the chapel, you’ll find a pulpit and a monumental yew tree.




Step 4
Site du Gouffre
When you arrive at the tip of the Plougrescant peninsula, leave your bikes behind for a short stroll along the Gouffre site. To find out more about the site’s geology, history and flora and fauna, you can follow the Balade au pays des tors interpretation trail from the Maison du Littoral. You can also opt for a return trip to the pointe du château, the northernmost point of the Breton coast!
Step 5
Port Blanc
Facing the archipelago of islets of Port Blanc, the Rocher de la sentinelle (Sentinel Rock) stands watch, with its small sentry box housing statues of Notre Dame and Saint Tugdual. A few steps away, the Rocher du voleur (Thief Rock) is an ancient defensive post that kept watch over the bay, from which it offers a remarkable panoramic view.
Take a moment to climb the steps leading to the surprising Notre Dame de Port Blanc chapel, which is half-buried.




Step 6
Tréguier, Small Town of Character
You enter the town of Tréguier via the Saint François footbridge. This small town of character boasts a rich heritage, which you can discover on a guided tour or by completing the treasure hunt“In search of Ernest Renan’s secret manuscript“.
The town is also a magnet for artists and craftsmen, and you’ll find numerous boutiques in the narrow streets and on the Place du Martray.
